As the days grow longer and temperatures begin to rise, Royersford residents will have plenty of opportunities to get outside, explore local events, and spend time with neighbors. From community traditions in Victory Park to a new art exhibition bringing dozens of artists together downtown, this spring’s calendar offers a mix of outdoor activities, volunteer opportunities, and cultural events.
Royersford Community Art Center Pop-Up Gala Exhibit
March 20 marks the first day of spring — and the launch of a new arts initiative in Royersford.
The Royersford Community Art Center will host its inaugural Gala Opening Exhibit on Friday, March 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Royersford Commons, 624 Main Street. An additional viewing will take place Saturday, March 21, from 12 to 6 p.m.
The pop-up exhibition will feature work from more than 75 regional artists. Proceeds will benefit both the Royersford Community Art Center and the Royersford Community Foundation.
Organizers say the event is intended to build momentum toward establishing a permanent art center serving the Spring-Ford area. The group hopes to develop a creative hub offering exhibitions, classes, demonstrations, and community events.
Easter Egg Hunt and Scavenger Hunt
Royersford’s annual Easter celebrations will once again bring families to Victory Park for a morning of springtime fun.
Children can join the mad dash across the park to collect eggs during the Easter Egg Hunt, while residents of all ages can take part in the Easter Scavenger Hunt. The events offer a festive way for families to welcome the season and enjoy a morning of egg-cellent outdoor fun together.
Both events are scheduled for March 28, with the egg hunt beginning at 9 a.m. and the scavenger hunt beginning at 10:30 a.m. Families will also have an opportunity to snap a photo with the RoFo Rabbit.
Earth Day Cleanup
Royersford will celebrate Earth Day with a community cleanup on April 25 beginning at 10 a.m.
Volunteers will gather at Victory Park to pick up litter and tidy nearby areas, helping keep the borough looking its best while working alongside friends and neighbors.
The borough’s Parks and Recreation Committee will provide trash bags for volunteers. Those interested in helping with gardening can bring gloves, and mulch will be available to help beautify areas of the park. No registration is required.
