Royersford area residents will have two opportunities to celebrate community and get outdoors next week, with National Night Out returning Tuesday evening and the Tour de Ford bike parade taking place Saturday morning.
National Night Out
National Night Out will be held Tuesday, August 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. on S. 3rd Avenue between Washington and Green streets in Royersford Borough.
Part of a nationwide initiative held each August, National Night Out brings together residents, first responders, local organizations, and businesses for an evening focused on community engagement, public safety, and neighborhood connections.
The free event will feature activities for all ages, including a kids area with inflatables and a dunk tank, along with giveaways and opportunities to meet local police officers, firefighters, and other first responders. Many of the activities and experiences are provided by participating local businesses and organizations.
The annual event is organized by volunteers originating from the First United Church of Christ in Royersford. It's intended to strengthen relationships between residents and public safety agencies while promoting crime prevention and community involvement.
The borough's Parks and Recreation Commission encourages residents to attend and help celebrate the community while learning about local resources.
