Spring is arriving in Spring City, and with it comes a full lineup of events that bring the community together — from family traditions to outdoor activities and local arts. Here are five things to check out in the weeks ahead.
Spring City Easter Egg Hunt (March 28)
The Spring City Easter Egg Hunt returns to Brown Street Park this Saturday at 10 a.m., offering a cheerful way for families to welcome the season.
Kids of all ages can collect colorful eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, and enjoy a morning of lighthearted activities alongside neighbors. The annual event has become a staple of the community calendar and a simple way to kick off spring.
Spring in the City 5K & Fun Walk (May 1)
The Spring City Parks and Recreation Committee will host its annual Spring in the City 5K Run and Fun Walk on Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m.
The race follows a flat, scenic out-and-back route along the Schuylkill River Trail, starting and finishing at the Bridge Street trailhead near the Riveredge parking lot.
Registration costs $25 in advance or $30 on race day, with awards for top finishers across multiple age groups. Participants who register by April 17 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Register here.
Spring City Mill Studios Art Festival (May 2–3)
Spring City Mill Studios will open its doors May 2 and 3 for its annual Spring Art Festival, featuring more than 20 resident and guest artists.
Visitors can explore open studios, meet artists, and view a range of work from painters, photographers, sculptors, and more inside the historic three-story mill building on East Bridge Street.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and offers a chance to experience the borough’s creative hub up close.
